Restaurant Promotion

By Shareen Aguilar As a restaurant owner, what is your style to promote your business? How do you sell your business to people who have completely no idea what your restaurant looks like or what kind of food you serve or the quality of service and the overall impression you have for the majority of the customers? Advertisement! Its one word that matters most in the business industry and basing on the word alone, there are many ways how you can create advertising by using each and every means and available tools like the media, the Internet, road signs, mails to customers, menu posters, your public relations skills, flyer distribution on public places and of course, nothing beats the old time word of mouth advertising to promote your restaurant and get noticed. Advertising doesnt only depend on the things that you can inform your customers about your restaurant. What else is important is also the reputation of your restaurant. It would count the most when the people who have heard about your restaurant as a great place, serves good food at a valuable cost has to be what your customer should exactly experience, and its much better if you give your customers more than what they have expected to experience at your establishment. Cleanliness and the over all standing of your restaurant relies on the impression you can make to your customers, especially to the first time visitors. You might want to check your faucets, wash rooms...dont just focus on the price of the food or the food alone since there are many involving factors which consist in a customers rating for the overall standing of your establishment. Also, lets not forget the name that will carry your restaurants entire reputation for years to come. There are a lot of restaurants out there but you should not blend in, instead, make sure your establishment stands out. What you can add to the uniqueness of your business establishment is the consistency of how your restaurant operates. Its not a wise decision to stop a meal or particular service that your customers have already been accustomed to receiving each time theyre at your place. Stick to what you offer, but be sure you have already the right amount of budget before you jump in the band wagon of advertising. Lastly, dont forget to give your customers your personal touch. Check on them and ask what they like the best about your place. Try to make them feel like theyre home and they will surely come back not only because the place is nice or the food is great, but because of the hospitality. Dangers of Tanning Beds

By Ken Marlborough If tanning beds are not used properly, they can be very dangerous. Most tanning beds release very high and dangerous levels of ultraviolet radiation which has been proved to cause premature aging. Tanning beds may cause burns, suppress immune systems, cause cosmetic and drug-induced photosensitivity, and create a higher risk of developing skin cancer. Ultraviolet radiation is harmful to the DNA in your body. Overexposure to UV rays in tanning beds can damage the retina, burn the cornea, and change the structure of the lens so that it begins to cloud, forming a cataract in the course of time. Skin cancer caused largely due to exposure to UV radiation is the biggest danger of tanning beds. Skin specialists have identified that fair skinned people with light pigmentation are most susceptible to skin cancer. Therefore they should take extra care in regulating the dosage of UV exposure. The three types of skin cancer related to exposure to ultra violet rays are melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. If your family has a history of skin cancer then you should be extra cautions of using tanning beds. You can minimize the damages of tanning beds by taking some proper steps. Using good quality specific tanning lotions for tanning beds, protective tanning bed spectacles and the right amount of time spent in the treatment can make the experience rewarding and truly enriching. Recently the World Health Organization issued a statement, backed by the National Institute of Health, recommending that no one under the age of eighteen should use an indoor tanning bed sensing the increasing use of tanning beds among the young people. But using tanning beds is not restricted by law. However, now most of the tanning salons put forward restrictions about usage but these are rules set up by the salon, not by the government. Tanning Beds provides detailed information on Tanning Beds, Tanning Bed Lotion, Home Tanning Beds, Commercial Tanning Beds and more. Tanning Beds is affiliated with Sunless Tanning Lotion. Chemical Peel Facts - Is It Right For You

By John Morris Nowadays, there are a lot of options available towards getting that youthful glow for your skin. From the most complicated of plastic surgeries, to a simple face lift or chemical peel - there are about a hundred options that one can choose from to remove dead skin cells and get rid of that old, wrinkled look to give your spirits a lift and your morale a boost. 1. Skin Damage When we go out and get exposed to sunlight, the outer layer of our skin gets damaged and dead skin cells remain embedded on our skin, resulting from the dirt that gets stuck to the pores. Thus, as we grow old, the skin looks more dull and lifeless. When you add the acne scars, freckles and other facial blemishes, you really would like to have an option to restore that youthful glow that only movie stars seem to exude on screen, no matter how old or young they are. 2. What Is A Chemical Peel? If you would not like to go for the surgical and more complicated procedures such as face lift and plastic surgery, chemical peel is definitely an option for you. There are three basic types of chemical peel that you can choose from, depending your individual need and skin type. Basically, a chemical peel is a procedure wherein the dead skin cells and the damaged outer layers of the skin are removed. There is that chemical word in the term because a chemical solution is used to smoothen or even out the texture of the skin. Eventually, the chemical applied causes the skin to peel off, hence the term chemical peel. This is typically done on the face, neck or hands. The procedure also enhances your overall look by removing the damaged outer skin layers. This is applicable and recommended for people with uneven skin tones, for people with wrinkles and facial scars from pimple/acne, and for people who just need to improve their skin texture. 3. Mild Peel This procedure removes the superficial skin layer. This is the most skin-friendly type of peel and may be performed on all skin types. It is used to treat simple acne and pimple scars and uneven skin pigmentation. The chemical peel involves a dilute acid solution, which normally stays on the skin for a few minutes. After the chemical has been applied, the skin is neutralized with water, then the solution is wiped off. This type of peeling procedure produces a light peel, and will result to a smoother and brighter-looking skin and improved skin texture. 4. Medium Peel This procedure goes a little beyond the superficial layer of the skin. After the treatment, the person undergoing the procedure will experience a sun-burned look and the skin might look chafed. The chemical solution stays longer on the skin, as compared to mild peels. This is applicable for people with more sun-damaged skin types, and can treat wrinkles as well as uneven skin pigmentation. 5. Deep Peel (RARELY USED) As compared to the mild and medium-depth peel, the chemical used for this type of peeling goes through several skin layers. This can treat more pronounced skin pigmentations and wrinkles, as well as pre-cancerous growths. Moreover, this has more medical complications and considerations so it is better to consult a medical professional before undergoing a deep chemical peel. The procedure will definitely take a longer time, about more than an hour, for the chemical applied on the affected skin to take effect. However, the results are more glaring than the first two types. After the treatment, whether you opt to go for a mild, medium-depth or deep peel, the person who underwent the procedure will experience redness of the skin. This will be followed by scaling, then peeling. The number of days that the skin will peel depends on the strength of the treatment. It is also important to avoid sun exposure after undergoing the chemical peel procedure. Finally, it is always good to consult a medical professional before undergoing any procedure, to be on the safe side. It is better to know every detail about the treatment that you would like to undergo, so that you would know how your skin would be treated and what to expect right after the treatment. Personalizing Your Mobile Phone Using A Ringtone

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Craig_Thornburrow]Craig Thornburrow Does the popularity of the ringtone or ringback tone rest on mobile phones or is it the other way around? Before, the regular landline telephone gave out a ringback tone standardized by the industry. Today, the incoming call of each mobile phone can be heard in a variety of ring pitches and tones. Each one can be readily distinguished from the other. That is why ringback tones are now one of the most used personalized items by a mobile users. In fact, they even compete with wallpaper screens and themes on the matter of the most downloaded searches from Internet websites. Technology is the reason behind this current advancement in the ring back tone. Unlike the regular tone of the landline telephone, which is activated by electrical signals, the ringback tone of the mobile phone is activated by radio frequency signals. Since mobile users will usually find themselves in crowded areas, the identification of their own personal ring tone is very important. In a crowd of mobile users, confusion may arise if all their ringtones will sound off at the same time, which is why a specific radio frequency signal is allotted for each mobile user through their mobile numbers. Also, the varieties of available ring tones help each mobile user establish his identity. A ringtone is usually patterned after a favorite song or tune of a mobile user. This breakthrough came about from the popularity of video games. The soundtrack of video games is usually lively singular tones that play in the background while the gamer is playing. Eventually, mobile phones were provided with ring capabilities to the approval of mobile users. At first, tones of mobile phones were limited to short bursts of melody or sound but later versions can now accommodate the whole duration of a song. Also, singular tones would later give way to multi-toned songs, melodies and even personal voice recordings. While some mobile users prefer to activate the vibrate mode of their mobile phones, some are eager to show-off their ringback tones. A ringback tone becomes the voice of the new generation. Not only did it become a popular download item, it also defines the latest generation of mobile users. Sometimes, ringtones can define a current culture or fashion trend. Hearing the same ring tones in the company of other mobile users is evident of their occasional identity as a fad. Whatever their reasons for picking up a specific ring back tone, mobile users will definitely find their use very timely and entertaining. Mobile service providers even employ celebrities in the promotion of ringtones. Usually, popular songs of artists are converted into a ringtone and are advertised on billboards and spreadsheets for download. Craig Thornburrow is an acknowledged expert in his field. "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" - Does It Fit The Very Definition of Oxymoron?

By John Durr Webster's says an oxymoron is a combination of contradictory or incongruous words. An example would be, it was so hot, it was cold. I would contend that it would also include using the Bible as reliable evidence in order to prove the Bible is unreliable. Either the Bible is reliable or it is unreliable, it can't be both. The makers of the documentary The Lost Tomb of Jesus rely very heavily on the Bible to support their claims that they have found the lost tomb of Jesus and his family. Yet, if you follow their theory to its logical end, in order to accept their theory as correct, you must accept the Bible as unreliable. This is an oxymoron, you can't have it both ways. Either the Bible is reliable or it is unreliable, it can't be both. The documentary was produced by Oscar winning director James Cameron. Its director was Symcha Jacobovici and one of its lead consultants was University of North Carolina scholar James Tabor. The documentary aired on the Discovery channel on March 4, 2007. The documentary suggests that the remains found in a tomb in 1980 are that of Jesus and his family. This is based on ten bone boxes that were found in the tomb. These boxes are known as Ossuaries. The Ossuaries bore crudely etched names. Some of names include: Jesus, son of Joseph; Maria; Mariamene e Mara; Matthew; Judas, son of Jesus; and Jose. The documentary suggests that Jesus, son of Joseph was Jesus Christ. Maria was his mother Mary. Mariamene e Mara was Mary Magdalen, the wife of Jesus and Judus was their son. Jose was the brother of Jesus. One Ossuary was misplaced or stolen. The documentary suggests that a Ossuary that surfaced from a private collection in 2002 is the lost Ossuary from the collection. This Ossuary bears the name James, the master. The documentary suggests that this is James, the brother of Jesus. Except for the name Mariamene, all the names were common during the time of Jesus. James Tabor contends that a second century manuscript uses the name Mariamene for Mary Magdalen. Now Jesus didn't have a brother named Jose. His brother was named Joses. These names are spelled very similar but they are not the same and they do not have the same meaning. The documentary relies on one speculation on top of another. They present much scientific evidence but this evidence does not lead to any conclusions. If you are interested in some of this evidence and what other experts have said about it, see the article that appeared in TIME magazine. The point I would like to make is that the Bible is clear what happened to Jesus. He rose from the dead. It was not the resurrection of a spirit. His whole body rose from the dead on the third day just as he said he would. King David prophesied, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption (Psalms 16:6). And the body of Jesus did not see corruption; it did not decay because he rose from the dead. The tomb was empty. He told Thomas to touch him and see that his body was real. When his ministry was finished, he ascended into heaven. He is alive today. There was nothing to bury in a tomb. The members of Jesus own family, the Apostles and all his disciples testified to his resurrection. All the Apostles except John were martyred for their faith. They went to their death testifying to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16). I believe this to be true. You must make your own choice. But you cannot believe it to be true and not true. Either it is reliable or it is unreliable. Many have come to an opinion on the Bible without ever reading it. How can you come to the most important decision in your life without checking it out for yourself? Many have come to their own conclusion on the reliability of the Bible and have based their decision on false teachings. There are many deceivers in the world today. There are many who proclaim to teach the word of God but they mix in lies. We can only identify these lies and teachers of lies after we have studied the word for ourselves. I believe that we all need to study the word of God for ourselves. We cannot rely on others to tell us what it says. If we rely on others, we are setting ourselves up to believe a strong delusion. The Bible is clear that their will be many claiming to be believers who will actually be deceivers. Don't be deceived, study and learn the truth of God's word! Begin today! When you study the Bible it must be done with prayer. The Apostle Paul writes: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. " (1 Corinthians 2:14) When we pray, we must pray for the Holy Spirit to give us understanding. Jesus made the following promise concerning the Holy Spirit: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: (John 16:13) Take Jesus at his word and trust him, you won't be disapointed. John Durr is author of an astounding new eBook entitled: The Soon Coming Judgment of God Upon America And How To Escape It! The book uses Bible prophecy, little known American history and current events to prove that the United States is the Babylon of Bible prophecy. This is a must read for every American because the Bible clearly says Babylon (America) will be destroyed. The book not only describes how the U.S. fulfills every description of Babylon, it carefully shows what the reader needs to do in order to be saved from this coming judgment. CE Marking Explained

By Miguel Ohn What is a CE mark? A CE mark is a mark placed on products by their manufacturer that act as a statement that the product meets all the standards and requirements of the relevant legislation according to the appropriate European Directives. CE Marking gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. What does CE stand for? The initials CE stand for Conformit Europenne, which is French for "European Conformity. This mark indicates that the manufacturer has ensured each of their products bearing this mark have undergone testing and conform to the standards set forth in the European Directive(s) applicable to each product respectively. How do I get a CE mark for my product if it does indeed require such a mark? To obtain a CE mark, each manufacturer must develop their own compliance program which addresses their particular product categories and business needs. We suggest you contact Obelis (O.E.A.R.C.) for steps tailored to your company and read below for some information about what this program involves. The next step of the CE marking process is to choose a Notified Body (link to our web-list of N.B). Before choosing a Notified Body, it is important that you select your European Authorized Representative. Your European Authorized Representative can particularly assist you in classifying your product before submission to the Notified Body and can also guide you through the Manufacturer Responsibilities. Appointing Obelis European Authorized Representative Center (O.E.A.R.C.) as your "European Authorized Representative" within the EU will make your endeavors into European markets simple and successful. Obelis European Authorized Representative will provide you with a CE mark by first creating your personal compliance program through the following steps: Assist you to identify all applicable EU Directives (laws) for your product Guide you in determining the applicable Standards - European, International or National Assist you in assessing your product according to the "essential requirements" in the Directives. Article 11 of the MDD describes the available conformity assessment routes, and detailed information on the assessment "modules" are given in Annexes II.VII of the MDD Direct you on how to identify the appropriate conformity assessment module according to your product classification Assist you to prepare a "Technical File", including a user manual, as outlined in the Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC Annex VII) Guide you in how to implement and operate a "Quality Assurance System"as required in Section 3 of Annex II Assist you, if required, in selecting a "Notified Body" within the EU Territory, to perform the official conformity assessment tasks To obtain your CE mark, you must do the following: Assemble the required approvals and certificates Prepare an "EC Declaration of Conformity" per product according to the applicable Directives. (Note that the Declarations of Conformity and Technical Files can be written in English.) For assistance with either of these tasks, contact Obelis European Authorized Representative Center (O.E.A.R.C.) today. For important Manufacturer's Obligations, see our article entitled "The Role of Non-European Manufacturers." Where does the CE mark have to appear? In most cases, the CE mark must appear on your product but there are exceptions. In general though, the CE mark must appear on the packaging and in the manuals or other support literature of your product. Contact O.E.A.R.C. for full details on where the CE mark must appear on your specific product. What is the design of the CE mark? Where can I get the graphics file? The CE mark is just as its name implies, the letters C and E. The mark must not be less than 5mm in its vertical height and the proportions maintained. In guidance booklets it is usually shown on a grid (see image below). Both the C and the E are in close to perfect semi-circles with a small arm in the middle of the E. The graphics file is available for download from commercial sources only and not by any official sources. To obtain the official graphics, contact Obelis European Authorized Representative Center today. Who enforces the CE mark and what would happen if my product did not bear the CE mark? The enforcement of the CE mark varies depending upon the Directive that applies to each specific product. For a complete listing of Directives, please see the European Directives page. Or for more personalized answers to your questions, contact Obelis European Authorized Representative Center today by phone or email. In general though, the procedure for enforcement or penalties of selling a product which does not bear the CE mark will begin by providing you the opportunity to properly affix the CE mark to your product. Failure to comply with this requirement once ample time has been provided to allow you to do so will result in you being required to remove your product from the market. In addition to removing your product from the market, you may also be liable for a fine or imprisonment. In circumstances where safety is at risk, the penalties will be greater. What requirements do I have to meet to export my product? CE marking is a requirement only applicable to product circulation within the European Union (EU). Exporting products outside of the EU do not require the CE mark. In addition to the CE mark, each country within the EU may have regulatory requirements or standards specific to their country. You must check the exact requirements of the country you wish to export. Obelis European Authorized Representative Center would be happy to advise you on any of the country specific requirements you may need. What are Notified Bodies? How can I find one? Notified Bodies are bodies appointed by each Member State within the European Union. Notified Bodies perform third-party conformity assessment procedures on the product in question to ensure the product is compliant with the EU Directives. One conformity is confirmed, the Notified Body will allow a CE mark to be placed on the product and allow the product to circulate within the EU. Manufacturers desiring to sell products within the EU can use the services of any Notified Body within any of the Member States. What standards must my product abide by? The standards that your product must abide by presume that your product already complies with the EU Directive that is applicable to the specific product. To learn more about the standards that may apply to your product, please contact Obelis European Authorized Representative Center today. Where can I get specific technical file assistance? Technical files, as required by the EU Directives, must always be updated and kept current with your European Authorized Representative. To get assistance with your technical file, please contact Obelis European Authorized Representative Center today. The EU member states include: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, United Kingdom, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) members include all of the above EU states, plus:

Wild Flower Garden - Make Amends...Your Plants Will Love It

By Gabrielle Bennett A wild flower garden, just like any garden you wish to plant, requires good quality soil that will meet the needs of the plants you put in it. That means that your garden soil may need some amendment. So why do you need to amend the soil and how do you do it? The answer to both of these questions depends on what you intend to plant and the soil in your garden.
First, let us look at why you might need soil amendment. The ground may have been stripped of topsoil as most often happens in newly built areas. Such areas are often left with compacted soil due to construction. Another reason is that the pH balance may not be at the desired level. pH (parts hydrogen) is a number that indicates the acidity or alkalinity of your soil/alkaline balance. This is important because the acid/alkaline levels of your soil controls the availability of some food elements in the soil. So how do you amend the soil? The first step You can purchase a soil testing kit from your local hardware or garden center and follow the included instructions to test the soil. Also follow the instructions for the amount and type of amendments you need to add. Adding the amendments to your soil will help restore the nutrients, minerals and pH balance to give your plants a great head start. Choosing plants that are native to your location will help enormously. You are now at the stage where you have designed your new wild flower garden, installed your hardscaping, prepared the ground, amended the soil and purchased your plants and seeds. Time to plant up your garden...so what are your waiting for...start planting. Enjoy your new wild flower garden, you worked hard and you deserve it. Catholic Hierarchy Makes Interreligious Dialogue Difficult

By Sandi Fults I converted to Catholicism as an adult. I specialize in interreligious dialogue and world religions. I was enrolled in undergraduate studies at what I would later learn was a liberal Catholic university. I thought what I experienced there in classes and masses represented Catholic teaching as a whole. I was in for an awakening when I went on to graduate school and then to teach in a Catholic secondary school. The phrase "one, true Church" has come to a specific and difficult meaning. Interreligious dialogue requires participants to place their beliefs up front for all to see. Here is one of my primary beliefs: the "Divine," "Creator," "God" or whatever name/incarnation (Christ, Krisna, Allah . . . ) one applies, embraces people of all faiths and that whether one seeks salvation or liberation or enlightenment, the Source and Goal of all life welcomes us and aids our return to our true home with love. Yes, I experience a process of purgation, cleansing my selfishness as I tread my spiritual path, frequently wandering into dense tundra of delusion. But, that does not negate God's love. Sadly (to me), the Catholic Church and much of the rest of Christianity do not extend such a universal appeal of divine love. I know other religions have the same issues. I am merely qualified to address the teachings of the Catholic Church on the ultimate value of the world's great spiritual traditions. Catholic documents address sister Christian churches as well as non-Christian religions. In recent documents, the teaching authority (Magisterium) has decreed that even non-Catholic Christians are not in full communion with God. For a tradition the name of which, "catholic," means "universal," the hierarchy certainly manages to segregate itself from every other system of belief. Catholic documents are difficult to read for the lay person. One must wade through dense theological language. However, the central exclusive message is not obscured. I am singling out the Catholic Church. There seems to be a universal human tendency to division, an "us versus them" addiction to power. Since I am human, how do I engage in dialogue when I am as likely as anyone to think that my way is the right way and, therefore separate myself from others who disagree with me? For now, I will paraphrase something from His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama: He said that when one person thinks that she is right and everyone else is wrong, she should imagine herself standing alone, facing everybody else. What a lonely image. I am a writer and teacher with a Master's degree in Systematic Theology. I specialize in Interreligious Dialogue and World Religions. My blog is http://www.writingup.com/blog/IWrite54. Tanning Bed Bulbs

By Leanne Williams Tanning beds have become extremely popular as a way of achieving an all year round golden glow. As frequent trips to the tanning salon can add up financially, many tanning enthusiasts are now choosing to purchase home tanning beds for the sake of saving money and for convenience. Modern home tanning beds have been designed to be very low maintenance, but nevertheless do require a little upkeep. Perhaps the most important factor in looking after your tanning bed is regularly changing the bulbs. Tanning bed bulbs do not require changing very often. Depending how frequently you use your home tanning bed it will range between three and five years. However, when the bulbs are due to be changed it can be a fairly big expense as you should change all the bulbs at the same time. If you do not replace all the bulbs simultaneously you may be receiving an uneven exposure to UV rays while tanning, resulting in an unequal tan. If some bulbs are working more efficiently than others it can also be more difficult to judge how long you should limit your tanning session to. It is important to replace the bulbs with a brand and type which is recognised by the manufacturer of your tanning bed as being suitable for your make and model. Not all tanning bed bulbs are the same, and selecting the wrong type can be detrimental to the effectiveness of the bed. You also run the risk of increasing the likelihood of you burning, as some bulbs are more powerful than others. If you are unsure of which bulbs are suitable for your tanning bed consult your user manual. Or, if you have not retained your user manual you can also call the manufacturer to check, or visit a tanning bed retail outlet for advice. A third option is to buy online as many websites list the different makes and models of tanning beds their bulbs are compatible with. Buying online can also save you money. Buying spare bulbs direct from the manufacturer is usually the most expensive option, with buying from local retail outlets being generally a bit cheaper. However, the most cost effective place to buy tanning bed bulbs is from an online wholesaler. Because wholesalers buy their stock in bulk they receive a large discount and can pass the savings onto the customer. While buying online may not be as convenient as walking into a shop, you will usually receive your order within five working days. When you buy your tanning bed you should receive advice about maintenance of the bed, including how to change the bulbs, which is very straightforward. If in doubt, consult the handbook you will have received with the tanning bed. Leanne has had several articles published on the subject of tanning, including tanning bed tips. http://www.tanning.about-beauty.net/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Leanne_Williams http://EzineArticles.com/?Tanning-Bed-Bulbs&id=378383 fastest way to order valium online

Job Search Methods - Is the Internet Right For You?

By Carla Vaughan Why do so many people post their resumes on the Internet when the rate of success is actually LOWER than finding a job with classified advertising in a local newspaper? Actually, according to the ever-popular book, What Color is Your Parachute? the success rate for sending out your resume randomly to employers (and getting a job offer) is actually higher than securing the position of your choice through an electronic resource. The rate is somewhat higher for IT-related positions. So, why do so many people spend their time, effort and money on a tool that offers so little reward? Well, it is a novelty. People can zip a resume into the job abyss and dream of someone finding it. Also, it is unbelievably easy. Click, click, click and you have posted your resume to a job board. A few more clicks and a couple of dollars and you can have your resume blasted to employers who might match your job-search criteria. Unfortunately, this process does not always work well. Sometimes it doesnt even work at all. For the 4 - 5% of folks who DO find their jobs online, life is good. The best approach to finding a job is to keep all of your options open. Do not rely on one source. Read the classified ads, scour the internet, network your socks off and go to job fairs. Oh, read the newspapers business section, check out the yellow pages and/or read local magazines and find out which companies in your local area offer jobs like the one you want and ask them if they are hiring for the position you are seeking. Ask them. Dont send them a resume. Ask them. Call them. Visit them in person. It works. How well does it work? Hmmmmmm. It works better than all of the others combined. The problem with contacting individual organizations is that many people have a fear of being rejected. As if that isnt bad enough, the time it takes to prepare for a phone call of this kind is rather lengthy. But, when done well, the success rate is very high. What method will work for you? Sometimes the answer to that question is directly related to the desperation with which you view your ability to secure a position for which you are qualified. You may start off with classified ads in the beginning, then move to the internet and maybe a few weeks later join a networking club.or you may do all of them at the same time. The more effort you put into your job search, the more successful you will be in getting a position you value. They are directly proportional to one another. The internet is a great place to obtain a vast amount of information. You can research nearly any organization, product, service and sometimes even people. Learn all that you can about finding the right job, but dont limit your job search to a few internet job boards. Broaden your horizons and strike out in a variety of methods to ensure your success. You are worth it. Find out more about the job search process by reading these awesome Job Search Articles. The Three C's in Marriage. pt 3.

By Anthony Smith Marriage & Relationships. Ephesians 5:20-5:33 This is the last part of a three part sermon on the way of a successful Marriage. But by all means not all. The scripture deals with marriage as Christ deals with the church. Many scriptures tell us how to have a good marriage and relationship with Christ and the Church. We've learned about, Commitment, Conversation and now we will learn about the last C. Christ, The Anointed or the Anointed One. Without Christ a marriage is only a have way union of a man and woman. Every person has or will have an opportunity to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. And in a marriage ,Jesus, guides both parties into a lasting relationship, built up on trust, understanding and love. As we've said before there are couples out there that are having trouble in marriage because of their children and I said that we would address this issue. The Bible states a law of God on the order of priority stated in this manner, 1.God, The Creator of all thing Visible and un-visible.
2. Jesus, or, The Christ, Son of God and Saviour
3. Man, The male of the species, or Human race.
4. Female, The mate of man and bearer of children.. Now as you've notice there is not listed any one else after the female. Children are not listed because they do not have a role in the decision making of the family according to scripture. God is the head of Jesus and Jesus is the head of man and man is the head of the woman. And thats Bible, you can alter it, rearrange it or change it. From the woman looking backwards this is how God wants us to be. We are all looking toward God the Father. Law, priority, sequence, line of authority. A woman once told me that, her children came before her husband, and that she didn't know why, but her and her husband were having trouble. Can you imagine why? This type of action , boarders on witchcraft. Now were not talking about the unbeliever here, were talking about the Christian family. For the Bible states, that, The carnal mind is not subject to the law of God and nether can be. For the carnal mind is at emenity with God. Most marriages fail because they break the commandments of God concerning Marriage and the order of responsibility from God to the female. Another rule set down by God is for the male, If a man does not take care of his own, especially those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel. Ive seen husbands, break this law, when they buy themselves things and allow their children and wife to be in want, doing without even the basics of life, food and clothing. Its a shame that a man will actually allow this to happen to people that he has promised to love ,honour and cherish. But it is happening, right now and probably in your own neighborhood. Christ is the leadership of the church, he is the one that causes it to grow, its not the pastor or the congregations but its Jesus. He said that he would add to the church daily. Our duty is to carry out his commandments as he has instructed. If we try to leave, God, Jesus, or the Holy Ghost out of the arrangements of our church or marriage it will fail. Now the word fail here doesn't mean in this life but in the next, the works that we do in our marriage or in our church will be for nothing. And the Bible goes on to say that if a man will stand up rightly before God, then God will save his entire household. So doesn't that tell you that the Husband has a lot to do with the salvation of his own family? Isn't there a promise and a condition there from God Himself? I strongly believe that there is a strong tie between the actions of the Husband and his families well being with God. Now does this mean that the family will not be saved if the husband dies lost?, No, it only means that the promise to the man is not valid unless he accepts the terms set down by God. Many councilors and ministers, don't teach these things, because aether they don't understand it or they are afraid of hurting someones feelings. A marriage based on Christ, is a marriage that will prosper, but there are the laws of terms and conditions set down in scripture. Look all the way back to Abraham and Sarah, God set down terms and conditions with them, all the promises of God in scripture are all based on this law. If you can find one in scripture that doesn't fit this law, let me know. Even John 3:16 is based on this law, that whomsoever shall believe on Him, this is the condition , and the terms of compliance, shall not perish. God wants you to do things His way and if you do, you are rewarded for obedience. This is a covenant partnership between God and the individual. The Same thing that Jesus wants the Husband and wife to have in their relationship. In closing, let Christ have a covenant relationship with you and you with your spouse. The terms and conditions of a successful marriage are based on scripture and are based on Christ and his love for the church. Take the words that He uses in describing Himself and the Love that He has for the Church and apply them to you relationship and you will never fail. ars. Temple of Spirit & Truth Ministries

How a Pressure Washer works

By Samantha Clark Every year homeowners receive a nasty load of dirt, mud, leaves and other debris on the surfaces of their houses sidewalks and driveways. In addition, their automobiles are caked with the results of road salt, mud and oil. The simplest pressure washers just transform an ordinary garden hose into a monster which blasts away dirt, oil and debris. An ordinary pressure washer can put up to 20 times more pressure onto a surface than the garden variety hose. When you are searching for a good choice in a pressure washer, you need to consider water pressure. A pressure washer surface cleaner in a light pressure model will be more effective than a garden hose, but you shouldn't expect it to do heavy jobs effectively. A typical garden hose will emit 40 pounds per square inch of water pressure, while light duty pressure washers will be rated at around 1300 to 2000 pounds per square inch. A light duty pressure washer surface cleaner is suitable for cleaning cars, awnings and patio furniture. Pressure washers rated at 2000 to 2600 pounds per square inch are great for concrete cleaning, including mild stains, grease and grimes on larger surfaces. Heavy duty pressure washers emit 2700 to 4000 pounds per square inch and work well if you have stubborn grease or stains on concrete, or if you need to remove flakes, dirt and debris from surfaces in preparation for painting or sealing. Electric pressure washers Electric pressure washers are made in all three levels of pounds per square inch--light duty, medium duty and heavy duty. Ratings by one of the major online sellers of pressure washer parts, pressure washer pumps and pressure washer equipment don't show a preference between an electric pressure washer and a gas pressure washer. The ratings distinguish only good, better and best within size categories. An electric pressure washer can be found to do any of the residential jobs which the average homeowner is likely to need. The disadvantage of the electric pressure washer if any is the problem of electrical outlets available to the job which needs to be completed. Gas pressure washers Gas pressure washers are more portable, but they are also noisier and may emit more noxious fumes while operating. There is also the inconvenience of having to store gasoline fuel when the equipment is needed. These pressure washers also are available in light, medium and heavy duty models, as well as an even heavier and more powerful contractors' model. Honda pressure washers rate high among the gas pressure washers, with better and best ratings for both mid-sized and large sized capacity washers and Honda pressure washers captured all three categories in the contractor's model. A Ryobi pressure washer is another favorite of residential users. It's heavy duty range (3000 pounds per square inch is quite affordable) and will do most jobs with a vengeance. The Ryobi pressure washer is available at Home Depot stores, which is another plus factor in its favor. Hot water pressure washer Another even more exciting innovation in pressure washers is the new hot water pressure washer. This tool would be perfect for those really difficult jobs where nothing else will cut through the dirt. Heated pressure washers are more difficult to find, but Honda makes portable oil-fired hot water pressure washers at the high capacity end of the scale. Mi-T-M makes electrically heated hot water pressure washers, also at the high end of the capacity scale. Whichever type of residential pressure system you choose, you should be sure that the merchant also carries a full line of pressure washer parts and pressure washer pumps. It can be really frustrating to be in the middle of spring or fall cleaning and have to wait for replacement of a part or a pump. Samantha Clark heads consumer reviews at http://www.dealsdepot.com.au

How To Make Gourd Bird Houses In 9 Easy Steps

By Lee Dobbins Bird houses can be a great way to attract birds to your yard and if you want a unique natural look, the gourd bird houses may be the way to go. The first thing that comes into mind when it comes to creating bird houses is to find the perfect gourd. This can surely help in saving effort and money. Gourds can be easily found or grown in the garden. Gourds are distinctly identified by their eye-catching colors and markings. They can even be said to resemble alien forms. This happens especially during the late summer and they can be very entertaining to the eyes. Gourds will normally be something that have to be intentionally grown. To grow one, certain steps have to be taken and regular tending must be done. Apply fertilizer in the soil where you plan to plant the gourd. For a plant grown in the space of the garden, a half dozen seeds should be placed. Then follow properly the directions in the seed packet. Thereafter, the plant should be regularly watered and the fertilizer reapplied every month. For creating bird houses, a large gourd has to be cultivated. This type normally takes 130 days to mature. Turning the Gourd into a Bird House Once you have the right gourd at hand, it can be easily crafted to make a good bird house that you can put in your yard or garden space to attract the birds. Working with the gourd is relatively easy. It is just like working with the wood. However, doing so will require some tasks to be fulfilled. These steps are necessary to make a bird house successfully out of the gourd. 1. Put hot water with soap in a pail. Get the gourds and soak them. When at least 30 minutes have passed, take out the gourd and clean it. 2. Cleaning the gourd will require the use of a scrub. Do this until the gourd is entirely clean. Just take into account the possibility of discolorations in the gourd. This will not normally take off so do not fret over the stains. Dry the gourds after cleaning. 3. Select the dried gourds that have the right length for your bird house. a diameter of 8 to 14 inches will be proper enough. 4. Make sure that the walls of the gourds are properly measured so as to make it most comfortable for the birds. It should be at least quarter of an inch thick so as not to make the bird house too warm. 5. Next detail to work on is the hole for the birds to enter. Most of the gourd bird houses are created for martin birds. A hole of two and a half inch are normally sufficient for the martins to enter into. Drill a hole also at the bottom of the cage for the drainage system. 6. Clean out the insides of the gourd. Scrape out the seeds inside. You can also pour water inside to make sure that the dusts created by drilling are removed. 7. Preserving the gourd is also necessary. Purchase copper sulfate from hardware shops and follow the instructions on how to prepare the mixture. Soak the gourd in the preparation for 15 minutes and let it dry. Make sure your hands are properly protected with gloves in preparing the mixture. 8. Paint the exteriors of the gourd house. White house paint is normally used to make the bird house to easily attract the birds. Just ensure that no drain holes are left unclogged. 9. Then, make a hole on the top neck of the gourd. This is to give way for the wire that will be used to hang the bird house. Being closer to the birds is not a difficult task. Again, you only need the gourd at hand and some handy skills. Build a gourd bird house and the birds will come to you. Does Your Marraige Need A Spring Cleaning?

By Mark Webb Does your marriage revolve around your children or grandchildren? Do you and your spouse spend too much time apart? Have you grown apart? Imagine your marriage 20 years from now. How is it going to be if you keep up with your current approach? If you don't like the thought of your future with its present course, then your marriage may need a spring cleaning. Ernest Holmes said, "Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it." Have your thoughts undermined a once great relationship? If so, you can redirect your thoughts and thus redirect the future of your marriage. Most couples put more effort into the planning of their vacation than they do their marriage. Remember the days of dating each other? You couldn't get enough of each other and gladly gave a lot of attention to your partner. After a couple gets married they are pulled apart by things like their career and the needs of their children. A routine develops and if the couple isn't careful, so does a sense of boredom. Unfortunately, your spouse tends to get blamed for the boredom. But don't be too quick to judge. Simply because you have been together for a number of years doesn't mean that you know your spouse today. People change. As men get older, they tend to shift focus from their career to their family. Women tend to go in the direction of career because they have put their career pursuits on hold for the sake of their children. The goals you had early in the marriage have probably changed. But your partner may have the assumption that you still want things the way they were in the beginning. Especially in the ages between 35 and 55, what's important to you and what matters most are usually being re-evaluated.
Talk with your partner about what is really important to you. What would make your life more satisfying? Listen to your spouse. Encourage them to share their views. Be open to what they say. Don't be too sensitive or defensive. Don't be judgmental. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you overreact to what they say, your spouse isn't going to talk to you. Try to be accepting and positive of what your spouse has to say even if what you hear surprises you. If you have a hard time keeping your mouth shut, I suggest you sit on your hands. Somehow this simple behavior helps you keep quiet so that you just listen. Remember, one good idea could be life changing to your marriage. Be curious and eager to know your spouse all over again. It doesn't take both of you to do the spring cleaning, even though it helps. You'd be surprised by what one dedicated spouse can do. And just like the spring cleaning of your home, your marriage deserves many cleanings. Keep your marriage fresh and alive. Tap into your ability to dream again. Rediscover the beauty of your husband or wife. Take one step today towards the renewing of your marriage. Then take another step tomorrow. And so on and so on.. Here are some additional "cleaning solutions" for your marriage. 1. Try to see your spouse with fresh eyes.
2. Keep your mind focused on your spouse's positive qualities.
3. Forgiveness is letting go of the past. Forgiving yourself and your spouse is an attribute of the strong.
4. If you are keeping score of your spouse's mistakes, you are setting your marriage up to fail.
5. Life is too short to allow boredom to infiltrate your marriage.
6. Good things often come from the difficult times.
7. Strive to genuinely understand your spouse.
8. Break your routines to keep the marriage exciting.
9. Maintain an attitude that encourages openness.
10. Strive to find the magic that is waiting to be discovered in your spouse. Mark Webb is the author of How To Be A Great Partner and founder of Partner Focused Relationships. How To Get A Newsletter Design You Actually Like

By Simon Payn I've just finished briefing a designer on the design for a new client's newsletter. So I thought I'd share some of the things I do to make sure I (and my client) get a design everyone likes. Have a vision The most important thing to do is have a vision for what you want the finished product to look like. See it in your mind, maybe sketch it on paper. See the colors, the size of the headlines, the type of pictures you want. Once you have created this vision, you will find it much easier to brief your designer. Think: "what's it like?" When I ask clients about the kind of design they want for their newsletter, I ask them to name a magazine they think has a great design. And then I ask them why they like that design. I find it's a great way to determine exactly what the client likes. It's in the details The more details you can give to your designer, the more happy you will be with the result. So describe your vision in as much detail as you can. Think of the basics, such as: 4-color or black and white? Color scheme (the same as your company's branding?) Will it be a self-mailer or sent in an envelope? Will you be including your company logo? If so, where? Will there be a space for company "about us" and contact information? Type of masthead (the title at the top of page 1) Space for a tagline or dateline? Fonts you wish to use. Sans-serif fonts often look more modern; serifs more traditional (but sans serif can be harder to read for the actual text of the articles) How many pictures you wish to use, and how big they should be. Are you using photography or another type of illustration? Will your pictures go to the edge of the page, with a 'bleed'? This makes a big difference when you come to print it. What article length would you like? Long articles, short articles or a mix of the two? Will there be different article "types". For example, personal columns, informational articles, bulleted lists... Will there be 'spreads'? For example, will the middle two pages be treated as one, with content going across the fold? Will you be wanting tinted panels, call-out boxes, or other design elements?
Then think of the more intangible aspects of your newsletter. These will help your designer get a feel for your readers and what you are wanting to achieve. Such as: Who is your average/ideal reader? What is their age? What do they do? What are they interested in? What are they wanting from you? What kind of magazine or TV show would your reader like? What kind of 'feel' are you looking for? Something trendy or something traditional? Something that denotes gravitas or something more relaxed and friendly? Send example of other publications you like.
By putting a lot of thought into your design brief, it's much more likely you'll end up with a design that really meets your needs. 3 Reasons Why We FAIL at DIETING

By Gillian Tarawhiti If your goals is to lose weight, fit into that smaller pair of jeans or lose those last 5 pounds then this information is exactly what you have been looking for. You see there are three patterns that keep people form living happily in their desired weight Fanatical Dieting, Emotional Eating and Conditioning. FANATICAL DIETING Just about every diet that is or has ever been on the market, has calorie guides, menus, and what not to eat food lists. Basically the plan of how you are going to DIET. Let me make it quite clear from the on-set A diet is a program set out to have control over what, where, when or how much you eat. Did you know that scientific research shows 90% of people who attempt to lose weight FAIL? Just in case you missed that information, 90% of people fail at their attempt to lose weight. All that diets have taught the 90% is how to get FAT and feel like a failure! My suggestion to the masses who are FANATIC DIETERS forget about dieting, FOREVER! The more you diet and fail the more convinced that you will never lose weight. Studies worldwide have proved that depriving yourself of food is the worst way to lose weight; if you are currently doing this and it isnt working then you need to try something different. EMOTIONAL EATING Did you know that emotional eating is the second most proven reason for overeating, causing obesity in the world? Eating because of boredom, loneliness, being miserable, tired and a million and one other emotional reasons, none of which has to do with actual physical hunger. Emotional eating never makes your body feel satisfied; that is why people who eat this way never feel full. They never get the signal to stop eating because they wanted to satisfy their emotion not their hunger. Emotions can never be satisfied with food. If you chose not to acknowledge the emotion it tends to nag at you, so to get rid of it you eat. By trying to block the emotion, it tends to nag you more and moreso you decide to eat more and more. The nagging will NEVER go away until you acknowledge it. Otherwise you will be forever EMOTIONALLY EATING. However, this is where Emotional Freedom Technique can help! It can help void all the negative emotions that cause you to overeat in the first place. The precept of Emotional Freedom Technique is thatALL negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the bodys energy system. Get rid of the disruption and you free yourself for the emotion. As soon as you acknowledge the nagging (with emotional freedom technique) the emotion will simply go away. The great thing is that you will never be a victim of emotional eating again using this technique. If you ever get tempted again to snack, ask yourselfare you really hungry or do you just want to change the way you feel? And remember if it is that you just want to change the way you feel, then it isnt food that will answer your craving, and using Emotional Freedom Technique will help with that. I have successfully used Emotional Freedom Technique on issues such as post traumatic syndrome, fear, abuse, OCD and many more. It often works where nothing else will, usually rapid, long lasting and gentle, no drugs or equipment involved, easily learned by anyone and can be self applied. My many workshop participants will testify to this. CONDITIONING If you are overweight, youre not lazy, crazy or a bad person. You have just conditioned your mind and body to be that way. No amount of dieting, will power, pills, and shakes can change that. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change the way you think about food and your relationship to it. You have simply developed some very UNPRODUCTIVE habits. The good news is that reprogramming the mind and body is as simple as using Emotional Freedom Technique that will guarantee your success. You dont even have to believe that it will work. It just does! My simple 4 step method using Emotional Freedom Technique will not only help you lose weight but stop obsessing about food for ever Author Bio: Gillian Tarawhiti BSc, Dip BM, Dip Ed, is Founder and CEO of Community Training Centre & Gain Back Your Life Centre, A registered EFT Practitioner, Member of AAMET and Online Training and Support to the new and not so new netpreneurs. By Russ Reina Prior to about 1973, in order to attend to patients in the back of an ambulance all you had to have was an American Red Cross First Aid Card, which amounted to, depending on the year it was taken, about an 8 hour course. Thats when I began volunteering with the Flushing Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps., in Queens, New York. We worked out of converted Cadillac hearses. In fact, the vast majority of emergency care and transportation services on the East Coast at that time were handled by funeral homes who had one of their hearses equipped with a stretcher, a box of bandages, an oxygen bottle and a backboard and were staffed by young men whose primary qualifications were that they could deal with funeral home business, had a drivers license, would drive fast, and didnt puke at the sight of blood. The job of the ambulance crew was simple; Load and Go! I was privileged to have been an integral part of the transition of emergency services from the scenario I outlined into a highly complex system. Within the course of a few years the victim was now called the patient, the ambulance would (mostly) not be moved from the scene of accident, illness or injury until he or she was stable, and the young men were doing highly technical medical things (as certified Paramedics) in the field that most doctors didnt know how to do in a hospital. Prior to becoming a paramedic, as a basic EMT I had a bag of tricks that ran out in a matter of minutes (or worse!). All I had to work with was my head, hands and heart. I would then experience myself as just a human being in the back of an ambulance with another human being and we were facing the limits of our own humanity together. It was there that I got my first glimpse of what it means to be a healer. And then, seemingly overnight, I found myself in possession of a highly sophisticated arsenal of tools and support that turned me away from just being a guy in the back of an ambulance into what I learned to define as a Flesh Mechanic. It was years before I realized that is what I had become. Like most of my peers not only in emergency services but in every branch of healing I had begun wanting to be a healer but had found, just by sheer volume of exposure to debility and death and the complexity of the medical system, it was easy, if not seemingly essential, to hide. And that realization, in the form of a question, became the theme of the next approximate 30 years of my exploration of the healing arts: How does one maintain ones humanity while being groomed and reinforced to be a technically proficient machine? There are so many things that we are not taught, that are neglected, or that are overwhelmed by the massive volume of technical information we must absorb and use. Our consciousness, at first ruled by our hearts (Ive got to help), shifts to our heads (First do A, then do B, then). Before long, whatever progress we are making in pursuit of our powers (and satisfactions) as healers takes a back seat to keeping up with the work. The end result is building a series of increasingly thicker shells to insulate ourselves from the person in our care; to distance ourselves from experiencing the others pain so we can be the professionals were asked to be. In the process, we end up hardening ourselves to not only the work, but life. While seeking to articulate my experience as a medic (in a movie, Healer opening night film of the 1994 Santa Barbara International Film Festival and book, A Paramedics Journey: 18 Things Healers Learn), I came to recognize that even within the context of an extremely grounded profession such as emergency medicine, I was called upon to deal with principles of an esoteric nature that spoke more of the orientation of the healer toward life than anything else. The more Id fight these principles, the more painful it was to do my work. As time went on, I learned about other healers and how they carried themselves in their work. I began to identify certain commonalities in their experiences. I checked them against my own experiences, and then worked with the principles in other areas of my healing work. What I discovered was, rather than seeking to distance themselves from the experiences of which they are a part, healers through all ages have sought connection. Trial and error gave me a picture of what it means to be a healer in the back of an ambulance. Continued exploration, and a broadening of my search resulted in coming to better understand that we are all healers in the moments we choose to be. The 18 articles that will follow are adapted from my book, A Paramedics Journey: 18 Things Healers Learn. As in the book, they are not listed in hierarchal or linear order. I offer them for you to integrate into your life and practice, for the good of all. Tips On How To Care For Fresh Cut Tropicals

By Willie Jones You can do your own tropical flower arrangements and add life to your office or home. Tropical flowers are generally much hardier than their softer cousins. They are brilliantly colored and have a longer shelf life especially if you care for them properly. Here are some things you can do to maximize their life: 1) Every type of fresh cut flower will produce a certain amount of ethylene gas during shipping but this can be taken care of by immediately unwrapping them and submersing them completely in a room temperature bath or large tub of water for 10 to 20 minutes. This applies to almost all the tropicals except for the fuzzy protease and most orchids. 2) Cut the stem of your tropicals about an inch from the bottom at about a 45-degree angle. The slant ensures that the stem will draw the maximum amount of water. Do this several times during the week and you will extend their life. 3) Tropicals grow in warm rainy climates and they enjoy being wet. For this reason keep your tropicals away from drafts and cool places and direct sunlight. Spray mist them daily to keep the moisture content up. In nature tropical blooms have pods facing upward, as they like to pool water in them. You can also do this with your fresh cuts. 4) If you find that the water gets cloudy then put a few drops of bleach in the water. This helps to prevent bacteria from growing and this will not hurt the flowers. 5) Make sure that when you design your flowers in a vase that you do not have any greens below the water line. This will rapidly decay the rest of the arrangement. 6) If you have purchased bird of paradise for your arrangement and they are not open, you can gently ease them apart by taking your index finger or thumb and slowly push your way at the base of the flower and force the blooms up. Most tropicals will last between 7 to 14 days if properly taken care of. I have seen cymbidium orchids last as long as 3 weeks. So enjoy these vibrant exotic flowers in your home or office.
